The immaculate front garden and gorgeous facade make way for a free-flowing interior showcasing four bedrooms (extra-large main with WIR) complemented by a private ensuite, stylish central bathroom and guest powder room (3rd WC).
Dual living zones add to the appeal including a versatile lounge/retreat and expansive open plan living/dining area to the rear adjoined by a well-appointed kitchen complete with walk-in pantry, dishwasher and stainless-steel cooking appliances.
Along with ducted heating and evaporative cooling for year-round comfort, this remarkable home also includes high ceilings, premium carpets, solar/gas hot water and large laundry with ample storage cupboards.
Bi-fold doors from the living area reveal a sunny north-facing backyard with lush lawn and alfresco-style entertaining area, plus off-street parking option via the rear ROW.

Owners Notes
What do you love about the home?
When we purchased the home we loved the potential we could see and it has brought us immense joy to see it so beautiful today. We love the facade; particularly the windows and the front door, lovingly purchased by my grandfather as a contribution to our first home. Since renovating and extending, we love the bright back-room and the way the house accommodates so many people indoors and out when we entertain.
The large kitchen is a place that people gather around the bench and chat and we’ve loved how central it is to our big family events. When we renovated, we put many features back into the home, such as ceiling roses, cornices, decorative trims. We love the way those classic features compliment the high ceilings.
During winter, the north facing aspect brings so much warmth into the space also. We love the usable outdoor spaces; dining and seating out the back and basketball out the front. Native plants have been added into the garden, bringing lots of bees to the yard without impacting our kid’s ability to play in the space.
What do you love about the area?
The tram is at one end of the street and the train station a short walk from the other end. There are buses along Murray Road and High Street that go to Northcote or Northland, and beyond to Heidelberg or SE Melbourne beaches.
Preston Primary School and Preston High School are the zoned schools and are both fantastic and highly sought after. Beyond that, the central location offers easy access to many independent or Catholic schools via public transport. It is a short walk to High Street restaurants and cafes, Woolworths and the Preston Market.
We also ride our bikes down Wood Street to the Darebin Creek trail and onto Darebin Parklands. The neighbours are wonderful and the sense of community is strong throughout the local streets.
